TDS-CORRECTION

This query is : Resolved

21 March 2011 My client has been furnished a notice by TDS Circle asking him to make payment for non deposit for TDS along with the interest for the FY 2008-2009.
Unfortunately my client had filed the return taking the service of a CA who is now gone abroad. So the original data is not available. But the challan and other details are available.
Now how to file the revised return without having the original e-tds data

21 March 2011 You can register your TAN at:

http://www.tin-nsdl.com/onlinetanintro.asp

After successful TAN registration, you get the user id and password and you can request the consolidated FVU TDS return file and can revise the TDS return.

21 March 2011 yes, now tin-nsdl has introduced that facility to revised etds return without any problem. you will get your old FVU file from system.

21 March 2011 Yes By Registering TAN you can get the consolidated data but at the taime of making request you will be asked certain details related with the return filed by you. Like Challan details and a few deductee details as quoted in the return.
