15 November 2011 This is regarding notice received from Income Tax department (Intimation under section 200 A of I.T. Act, 1961) about late payment interest because of delay in making TDS payment.

They have mentioned Form No. 26 Q the quarter no. in the columns late payment interest it includes
1. Till of deposit of tax
2. Till date of gen of intimation.

The amount includes interest on various sections like 194C, 194I and etc

It is very difficult to find out the break-up of these amounts. Is there any need to submit the revised returns. Any how these interest amounts will go to central govt. but doesn't get any credit to any vendor.

Is there any provision where we can make a single payment through online or issuing a cheque to central govt.

18 November 2011 Payment for TDS for different section should be made with different chalan otherwise it will not adjust and refund cannot be claimed.

18 November 2011 WHOEVER GETS THE TDS NOTICES

It is better to collect the break-up information from IT (TDS)dept from Income Tax Office. Please carry pen drive or cd to copy the TDS break-up information.

Please make the interest / penalty payments according to the related sections and file corrected returns.
