22 May 2012 Should the cost of acquisition of shares in company and the expenses incurred on transfer of the eq shares of a company exclude the Securities Transaction Tax (STT) for AY 2012-13 or not ?

No deduction shall be allowed in computing the income chargeable under the head “Capital gains” in respect of any sum paid on account of securities transaction tax.
