Kindly suggest me whether detantion charge paid to transporter is liable to service tax.... whether seperate billty should be ask for dat....if no then how i will avail the credit for the same.
I don't think so detention charges should be subject to service tax as far as service receiver is concerned. But you should ensure that separate Bill for that is issued to you, to prove that Transporter acted as Pure agent on behalf of you.
