14 May 2009 IS SERVICE TAX IS APPLICABLE ON COMMISSION ON SALES WHERE NO BILLS ARE RAISED?????

14 May 2009 If you are selling goods on behalf of the principal, then your services would be taxable under Business Auxiliary Service.No service tax is payable commission earned for normal sale.

If the service is otherwise taxable, then according to Rule 4A(1) you are bound to issue invoice /bills within fourteen days of completion of service or receipt of payment whichever is earlier.
