Return with f16 plus f16a

This query is : Resolved

01 August 2011 I am salaried College Teacher. My college gives me Form 16 for TDS I have also received a small amount of Income ( about 5% of the main income )for few classes in a different college for which I have been given F16A for TDS .

Can I file return as a Salaried Individual in ITR-1 if not please suggest me the correct form and category. I will be very grateful.

01 August 2011 In this case you may opt for ITR 1, by showing the Income as mentioned in Form 16A under the head Income from Other Sources.
.

However, had you run the tuition classes, we would suggest you to file your Return in ITR4S or in ITR 4, depending upon the other
sources of income.

01 August 2011 ITR 1 is for salary and interest income. You can file ITE 2, 4 and 4S depending on your income

01 August 2011 I agree with the experts
