My client (Constituted as Firm) is 100%Exporter of Meat & Meat Products. They have a Factory in Maharashtra (Solapur) and Corp. office in Mumbai (Bombay). All the Products are Exempted Goods but during the Process a Excisable By-product (Fat Tallow) is produced which cannot be Exported. This is Sold Locally. This year the Exemption limit is crossed. The Firm has Constructed the Factory on Leased Land from Another Company which is based in Solapur. The Question is in Whose Name the Excise Registration should be Made, The Owner of Factory Land or My client which has Constructed the Factory? Also, should we just Intimate that the threshold limit has been crossed this Financial year or get it Registered and start charging Excise? Experts Please Help.
