You can visit ITO and enquire. Or the best is to file an RTI application that costs almost nothing. "Donations", I know you mean bribe. but we need to change our society for good & not expect any law to do it for us. Take that responsibility and say no to give/ take BRIBE.

Corruption is all pervasive. Since the people at the helm of affairs are cottupt, in is quite natural that the authorities below are corrupt. The character permeates from top to bottom.
The highest executive(Prime Minister) of the country has publicly admitted the existence of corription at high level.
The legendry Late Nani Palkhivala, reacting to thoughtless amendments once remarked, "Income-tax Act is a national disgrrace".
The current retrospective amendment in Service Tax on Commercial Training and Coaching and on renting of immovable property is nothing but tyranny by the biggest democracy of the world. There was a news report that the retrospective imposition of the tax is a certain death blow to small Pilot training institute.
In one sales tax case, the Hon'ble High Court of Kerala has, in their guarded language, has observed that such retrospective imposition is bad in law.
When the parliament is engaged in such practice, what to expect from an ordinary ITO.
Ofcourse, there is a need to awake. Independence is a continuous struggle.

Mr. Shyam has quoted many examples & all, but they are all negative. We need to erase those negatives & why not give it a start at small levels. So that in future no one is left with such recent examples/ quotes.
cheers... join the movement...let's bring revolution SAY NO TO BRIBE ... it may take time but for sure will be fruitful
