28 July 2010 Dear Experts,

Can some one suggests me how to keep personal Balance-sheet and other financial records.

Please enclose Formats for Balance-sheet, Bank/Cash Book, Ledger etc in excell .

01 August 2010 It is not a query but entails "full course" of accountancy !

If the things would be so easy; no need to have coaching of accountancy.

06 August 2010 The best way to do this is in Tally (or similar package).

The only journals that you may need is Payment, Receipt and Normal journals. (You dont need sales, purch, etc)

Create cash and bank accounts under respective groups. Keep all investments under current assets by dividing equity, debt, etc.
You can keep real estate, etc under fixed assets.
