Dear sir, In case of a partnership firm having two partners, and engaged in business of kiln (building bricks), where the land used for kiln was tenanted first by a partner in his individual name from the third party, subsequently employed by him for firm's kiln business. Here I would like to know that, whether the firm can pay rent as sub-tenant to one partner for land provided by him. Secondly, whether the firm has to draft a rent deed for sub-tenancy between the partner and firm. or making rent clause in partnership deed is sufficient for the same. Please advise me.

You can pay the rent from the firm directly to the land owner for with there should some agreement between the partner and the firm and the confirming party should be the landlord
