Dear Sirs, An employer pay following Fixed Allowances to his employee in monthly salary :- 1. convyance Allowance 2. uniform Allowance 3. Attendant Allowance Can employer give Exemption U/s 10(14) if yes than how much amount will be exempted and what type of documents should be collected from employee for exemption
1. Regarding convey. allowance: What kind of papers we need to collect from the employees for providing exemption of convey. allowance on monthly/quarterly basis, if we are paying this allowance as fixed amount in monthly salary. Whether the declaration by employee on plain paper will work for said purpose.
2. Further, can we pay the uniform . allowance on yearly basis ? If yes then which kind of papers/bills we have to arrange either from employee or of his family ?
3. Do we need any slip/paper duly signed by the employee or by attendant--if we pay the attendant allowance.
Kindly clarify on the above matters please as it is most urgent. Thanks once again.

1. Conveyance allowance for official purpose has to be justified clearly with the trips by employee for business purpose. simple declaration will not work
2. Uniform allowance can be provided for purchase & maintain. so for purchase bills can be provided. for monthly maintenance, declaration can be obtained, because it can be justified, since they wearing to office
3. I am not clear about the exact nature of that allowance, please elaborate
