My mother is a state government pensioner..her pension is directly credited into her savings bank account. I believe the pension office deducts TDS before crediting her pension into the bank account.
While filing her ITR online, apart from mentioning her income from pension, how can she proove that TDS has been deducted from her pension amount? Is there any TDS certificate that is issued by the pension office? I have tried to check online at NSDL website and viewed her Form 26AS...however, there is no details of tax deducted or any other tax credits.
Kindly help as the due date for tax filing is approaching and I am very confused :-(

Agree with BAlasubramanya. If you still are so sure of the TDS, better enquire from the concerned Pension Office/ her ex-employer (i.e., state govt).

The income of my mother is Rs 23,200 per month - which is clearly above the tax exemption limit of Rs 190,000 p.a.
