Intimation u/s 143(1)

Hi
we have recd intimation u/s 143(1) for FY 13-14 of our society.
It contains as amount 1000 odd as tax payable.
The intimation was recd long ago around 2 months before.
Now if I want to make the payment shall it be done with interest payment or only demand payment needs to be made.
Also, if interest payment needs to be made...what should be the calculation.

Pay the amount as stated in demand.

You pay Demand Amount first ,after words you have to pay interest if demand determined for Interest.
