How to show 80g deduction on itr-1

27 July 2012 A person donate u/s 80G sec 5 Clause (vi). Now where this donation shows in ITR-1

a)a) 100% deduction without any qualifying limit
Or
b) 50% deduction without any qualifying limit
Or
c) 100% deduction subject to qualifying limit
Or
d) 50% deduction subject to qualifying limit

27 July 2012 You are required to compute the TOTAL deduction allowable and enter against 80G in Decutions field.

27 July 2012 Suppose his total income is 300000/- & donation amount is 10000/- then where to show the above mentioned case(a or b or c or d)& how much amount is eligible for deduction


27 July 2012 It depends on the nature of donation, in which category it falls.

20 August 2012 There is a separate schedule for 80G in ITR 1 return from AY2012-13 onwards.

If you looking for earlier years, in ITR 1 there is schedule, but when you go for rectification there is a separate abridged section for 80G.

20 August 2012 You Just Enter Amount in 80G Chapter VIA Sheet, After That It Will Calculate Automatically That How Much Deduction is Allowed.
