12 September 2011 Threshold limit for not deducting service tax for the service rendered by the individual is Rs 10 lacs.

Notification 8/2008 ST Dated 01/03/2008 Rs 10 lacs with effect from 01/05/2008.

Rs. 10 lakh per service provider irrespective of number of taxable services he renders.

Rs. 10 lakh shall apply to the aggregate value of all categories of taxable services

It is one time exemption till one reaches Rs 10 lacs
