please suggest me the time schedule for studying both groups of ipcc , how to manage all subjects and whether it is sufficient to study module, compiler and rtp supplied by icai.
I would strongly suggest you all to stick to the basics of study to avoid further failure and ensure success. For me some basics of study are as follows:
In CS exams scanner plays an imp role so base your study on scanner.
1. Timely completion of course material—Very first basic thing is to finish your course to have better idea of course structure. This will also help you to prepare a good revision schedule along with study plan.
2. Timely revision-- Another basic study point is to give ample emphasis to a good revision plan. There is nothing is this world which can substitute a good revision plan. To succeed revision is must.
3. Ample amount of practice of Numerical [account and cost] questions-- One major reason of student failure is bad performance in practical questions. So ample amount of practice of Numerical [account and cost] questions is must along with perfect conceptual clarity.
4. Right amount of theory preparation in practical subjects—Most of the students don’t give due value to the theory in the practical subject. So right amount of theory preparation in practical subjects is equally important. The best way to solve this issue is to prepare notes of frequently asked theory questions from Scanner.
5. Selection of right books—Another basic point for good preparation is the selection of right reference books. So take help from your seniors in choosing right books.
6. Good presentation of theory— Lack of good presentation especially in theory paper is one of the major drawbacks for most of the students. In theory subjects good presentation of theory is must along with mentioning case laws and sections etc. So I’d request you all to take note of the same.
Few days back in the morning I was addressing Mr. Raj in the student forum regarding how to prepare for coming November 2011 IPCC examination. After writing and posting reply to his post I thought let’s convert this reply into an article and share my opinion with other members through a separate post here in forum and hopefully in Article section subject to the approval of Admin. So here I am with my opinion.
This article basically deals with few practical aspects regarding examination like time management and techniques.
You are very right time is less to prepare for IPCC. I would say no need to worry about your previous attempt marks. But the problem is you are going to attempt both groups and you have not started yet. OK never mind…as it is better late than never.
As per my suggestion you have to allocate your time in the right manner to each subject as time management is the key to success.
Work hard on practical subjects like costing and accounting etc as per your strength and weaknesses. Practice numerical question from ICAI study along with scanner questions. For accounting shukla n Grawal book is good.
Also prepare practical subject theory…as it is equally important…make short notes.
Special attention needs to be given to theory papers like audit and Law…as far as presentation is concerned. Practice how to write or attempt theoretical problems.
Here in CAclub lots of good notes are available for all subjects…so plz check them and use.
I would further advise you to start with Account and Law paper….also give 1 hour daily to audit…
You have to manage at least 8-10 hours for good preparation. If you want any further suggestion plz post here.
