Form 15ca & form 15cb

This query is : Resolved

12 July 2012 Hi,
I have an idea that form 15CA & 15CB have some thing to do with foreign remittances. But could someone give me a detailed explanation about these forms and the reason they are made?

12 July 2012 Form 15CA is filled by the remittor of foreign exchange and submitted to bank. Form 15CB is certificate given by the CA about compliance of deduction of TDS on the proposed remittance. Reason for submission of these forms is simply to check the genuinity of transactions.

12 July 2012 Thank you....Sir could you please also answer my following queries...
1) Do the forms need to be filed on the date of the proposed remittance or can it be filed before or after that?
2) Are the forms filled with the remitting bank or with the RBI?
3) Do we have to provide the Bank or RBI with any other documents as evidence supporting our remittance?

23 July 2012 1) Compliance required before remittance.
2) Remitter files with Bank.
3) Other forms like A2, general declarations etc., if any as per Bank policy.
