Hello sir , my query is whether ssp exemption under service tax act is one time exemption I.e. if a person starts paying service tax because in the previous his value of services exceed 10 lax rupees but now in the current year his value of taxable services in c.y. does not exceed 10 lac whether he is liable to service tax in next year.

Service tax has to be paid.Once the turnover exceeds the limit of 10 lakhs in any financial year, service tax has to be paid for each financial year following such financial year even if turnover is below 10 lakhs in thefollowing years.

Thank u mam it means if a person after crossing the limit has in some of the years receipts less than 10 lac and in some of the years more than 10 lac, he will be liable to pay service in all the years.
but mam it is not a hardship for a person who after crossing the limit of 10 lac in one year have receipts less than 10 lac in future years say 1. between 9-10lac 2. or even less than 9 lac

No such remedy available, tax has to be paid.

Yes,you can surrender your registration certificate if you no longer wish to provide services. But before surrender you would have to pay service tax on the taxable services already provided. Please go through the link attached.http://www.icsi.edu/docs/webmodules/tradenotice.pdf
