Conditions for taking credit of service tax

I would like to know the general and specific conditions to claim the service tax credit. So please advise me with detailed clarification.

Service should be used as input service in the production of output service.In case of GTA after abatement of 75% on the 25% of the bill value is to be required to e paid and credit can be taken.
