Accounting as per as -19 of stamp duty charges on rent aggr.

21 September 2012 If a company has taken premises on operating lease for 5 years. The amount incurred towards the expenditure i.e. Stamp duty, Lawyer's fees etc towards registration. Should the said expenditure be charged against revenue or to be amortised over the lease period.

21 September 2012 It should be expensed out out in the year of expenditure, there is no concept of deferred revenue expenditure.
It has no economic benefit in the future years. Expense it out in the year of expenditure only.
