Earlier there was a facility on https://www.saraltaxoffice.com/resources/name-by-pan-validate.php to check the name of the person by mentioning the PAN, but the same is discontinued now.
Can somebody guide where the similar facility available to check the name of the person by putting PAN.

There are various sites available. see site tin-nsdl.com . Click e-payment :pay taxes on line. Then click link "please click here" Then click any challan 280/282. As soon as you fill the manadatory information you get the name of the pan holder.
All other sites have been disabled at present.

but in the end a form for the payment opened
how it helped in checking the pan of a person
The desired information i.e. name of the person will automatically come.

Thanks for the info - I followed the sequence and got the name on the basis of the PAN number.
