Where to verify/track Name from PAN number

There are various sites available.  see site tin-nsdl.com . Click e-payment :pay taxes on line. Then click link "please click here" Then click any challan 280/282. As soon as you fill the manadatory information you get the name of the pan holder.

All other sites have been disabled at present.

but in the end a form for the payment opened

how it helped in checking the pan of a person

The desired information i.e. name of the person will automatically come.

Thanks for the info - I followed the sequence and got the name on the basis of the PAN number.
