I have one query regarding WCT.our vendor did civil work at chennai office and issued a bill at our head office at mumbai .the vendor is registered under mvat,so whether we are liable to pay wct tax to that vendor .as normally he sholud send bill with vat applicable at tamilnadu vat.why should i pay tax to maha Govt .?

as the vendor is registered under MVAT, he can apply rates only as defined in MVAT.
