We have purchased some material in the month of april 10 but the bill was pending for booking due to technical reasons till month of October. Now if we book the bill in Nov 10 is it possible to avail Vat input credit of this bill now? as more than 6 months have been passed since date of purchase.

As per Rule 4(1) of Cenvat Credit Rules, 2004, credit on input can be taken any time after their receipt in the factory of manufacturer or premises of service provider.
Therefore, u can still take credit..
