So I had applied for GST about a month and a half back, and due to the system issues that were present at that time my application was stuck in "pending for validation" status. As I needed GST urgently I was advised by the Call Center Agent to apply from another mail ID. That application went through quickly and I received GST in no time.
Now, yesterday, I received a mail saying my application for GST, the older application, has been approved and another GST has been generated with the same PAN.
You would think the same PAN, in the same jurisdiction, the system or the Officer woud reject this application seeing that GST has already been issued. But no!
Now I have two GST numbers for the same PAN same Jurisdiction!
What am I to do? There is no option to surrender GST yet.
