18 June 2010Our prop. firm has deducted TDS, in January 2010, on dyeing of cloth. It is of a private ltd. co. At that time they said that they will give their PAN later. But now when we are to file TDS return, they are not giving PAN. What's the remedy now. We are not able to prepare return without their PAN?

There was a circular from CBDT in which they said if any person is not providing PAN No and you have deducted TDS return in such a case file the TDS retunr for remaining person leaving the amount deposited unutilised and later on when the person provides you the PAN no then you revise the return and utilise the remaining balance.
