First u check refund status on Income tax website.

Abhilasha Mam, I have cheked the refund status from the website. It displaying a msg that Assessing officer has yet not processed my refund claim. Shall I drop a letter to A.O. or form 30 for refund claim or anything else.

As you have clear above that have checked the status of refund but it was showing that Assessing officer has yet not processed your refund so that you have to write a latter to ITO regarding the refund which have not proceed until by assessing officer with enclosing the documents
(1) TDS Certificate or 26AS
(2) ITR akcnowledgement
(3) Bank Statemnets of three month
when you will submitted these documents in the IT department than ITO will start the process of refund.........................

Agree with above. You write a letter to the ITO requesting for refund alongwith form 26 AS and copy of ITR filed.

Sir/Mam, can the I.T.O. refuse to the letter and 26AS saying that refund will be avl. anytime at his wish only after completion of assesment (which is 21 months from the end of financial yer)? The refund is of higher amount.

The Refund of individual transfer by the ITO in the indvidual account within the 3 to 6 month from th date of filing the return . but he can not refuse to refund you .Plz submit those documents which i prefer you above .
Unofficially i advice you that go to the IT Department in the word or juridiction area where your case is assessing and meet the ITO assistant and offer the 4% and 5% amount of refund to him . this procedure will definatly work bcoz it ..................................
thats the indirect method getting you refund early otherwise you again and again will submit the but proccess of refund move only slowly slowly

Check on income tax website whther it has been processed or not ? If its not processed uptil now, then question of refund doesnot arise.
For the assessment year 2012-13, the processing is going very very slow, specially in case of ITR 4 & 5 with refund cases. In our office more than 50-60 % returns filed by time are pending.
Moreover, in e filing , the local Income tax office cannot do much needful if its not processed.
