One of my clients grandfather has left agricultural land for the family which was earlier received from his ancestors. Now my clients father wants to sale it out. My client is not in favour of selling it. The question is whether he can prevant his father from selling the property. If so what steps he should take to prevent the sale.

Since it is ancestral property, your claint father cannot sell the property without positive consent of the legal heir.
