Medical expenses of parents

I gave money to my wife (she is also assesses) for family expanses. She paid medical expenses of my mother (senior citizen /wholly deapendt on me) by her UPI/ bank transfer

For 80 d of itr can I claim that Expanse. (Up to 50000)
