Service tax on sale of developed flats in the hands of owner
X (owner) given Land to Y (flat Developer) for Developing the flat and Y agreed to give 50%flats to Owner,So the question arises if owner selling the flat then service tax applicable or not please give explanation

Service tax is levied on service provided. in case of the Mr. X selling the flats after possession of the same, no question of service provided to the new buyer arises.
