01 November 2012I already have service tax number but my turnover is less than 10 lakhs so I want to know its compulsory to pay service tax or no need to pay any service tax and filing return. If there is a provision so kindly tell me which notification of service tax clear it.
Help me out !

it is not mandatory to pay service tax if receipt does not exceed 10 lac. but if you charge service tax from your client in that condition you have to pay service tax otherwise service receiver can not avail the service tax credit

Although you are registered, basic exemption of Rs.10L can be availed,.

& You Just Need to Show Services Provided in This Year. Though Your Services Doesnt Exceed 10 Lacs.
