service tax applicability

i have a doubt regarding applicabilty of service tax

is exemption limit for Rs 1000000/- for individual taxble services or Total taxable services

for example a company is paying services tax on clearing & forwarding services.its gross receipt from clearing n forwading service is amounting to Rs 11 Lacs.

this co is also having rental income amounting to Rs 2 Lacs pa

will service tax be levied on Rental income

Is service tax applicable on Domestic Pvt. Air Charter Services provided by a co.? Please reply mentioning Sec.

yes service tax is also lieved on rental income

An authorised two wheeler service station having no painting facilities in its service station but gets done the painting jobs from un-authorised painting workshop and realise the painting charges from the customer specifying the paninting charges separately in the Labouring earning Bill of the authorised service station. Kindly let me know whether service tax is payable on the painting charges under authorised service station or service tax is payable on the margin under business auxilary services considering the margine as commission or not at all liable to pay service tax.

Service tax is payable under Authorised Service Station Service.

Further, I understand that cost of painting should be included in Labour Charges since cost of paints can't be quantified but in my case it is done by other un-authorised service where service tax is not applicable and the painting charges is paid on behalf of customers which can be specified as per painting charges bill. So I wanted to know whether service tax is applicable or not.	"

Kindly let me know whether service tax is payable by an Insurance agent (Pvt. Ltd. Co.) on its commission earning or it is payable by the insurance company.
