We are manufacturing Automobile Components having factory in THANE & We are sending Semifinish Goods for Jobwork to Our Another Unit At SRIVARDHAN by ST Parcel(Transport by ST) We are getting Transport Receipt having amount More than 1500/-. & the said Transporter is having GTA Registration also, though he is not mentioning Service tax amount on his Receipt
My Question is that whether we have to pay servfice tax or Not.

Hello Mr.Rajkumar
Here service provider is ST parcel, he has to collect service tax from his customers/clients i.e obligation. If he satisfies primary criterias of service tax rules, If he doesnt include service tax in the rerceipt you need not bother and at the same time you cant claim CENVAT credit unless he doesnt show in the receipt.

There is a circular which clarifies when it is a transport and when the same is a courier. Maybe you can find on cbec.gov.in or online sites.
