Dear Meenatchi,

As  far as I remember; you are in my friends' list since more than 8 months but for the first time you have interacted.

Most of the CA students direly need morale support.

Many qualified persons and other students are doing a great job for the juniors and colleagues at caclub.

The purpose of the post was never to shake the confidence of the students; but to make them aware what types of mistakes are committed by them.

Truly speaking; I like this site the most. I have found so many true friends here. I have tried my best to aware other senior members to use this site.

And do you want to know who suggested me to use this site ?  My son !  He suggested me in the end of 2008 to refer this site; but I took it very lightly. ( Ghar  ki  murgi Daal Barabar ) At that time I was not so habitual of internet. For me; it was time killing and then after one year I realized what is the use of internet. I committed mistake and I  accept it. Now I wish to fill the gap which I have made in the past.

I am lacking in so many areas; I personally feel. There is still a wide gap in my expectations and my performance so far.

Hope it is enough for you to relax now.

Today morning; I randomly visited so many profiles of those who were online at caclub with green signal. Surprisingly I found more than 90% of them were not having any friends !  How they enjoy their life; I cannot understand. A total red signal  (even it was missing )  despite caclub showing green signal for them.

You cried because you realized  the facts that I have lost my time because there was no guidance and now this cannot be rectified.

Again you have misconception in your mind !

I wish to share  what used to happen in the past. Most of the CA students got entry in CA profession only after graduation. At that time Foundation was tough and very few students undergone graduation with English Medium. Hence there was a big challenge for them to pass CA  in English Medium.  At that time there was no Hindi Medium in CA course.  Even proper books were not available and if available very few could afford it. Forget about any useful guide ! Many failed students use to misguide new students.

You are in a much better position that you could realize your mistakes so early. I don't think your age is more than 20-21. Still 3-4 valuable years are there to make a very bright career. A medical student generally becomes a doctor in the age of 27. A Doctor becomes super specialist in the age of 40.  So please....please.....relax and don't feel tensed.

Tension ko maro goli.  No problem would be solved with tension; it will increase only your problems.  Make a team of good friends who are  alike you or whom you like. Better if you select who are the most useful in your CA career. Distribute various subjects between friends and then read. Discuss the problems and give your problems some funny remarks. Life would be funny and you will qualify for CA easily.

Warning :

Many students try to pass CA as early as possible hence they get tensed. When such stress is there; more time it will take to qualify. Just read according to your plan with full understanding of the subjects to the best possible manner and never worry about results.

When you read subjects with clear concepts; results would be positive.

Ab kya baki raha ?

Bado ka aashirwad ?

Wo tumhare saath he hi.

Wish you all the best.

Sandeep Pandey :

Sir, i wrote my PCC exam twice in both attempt i got failed...... in 1st attempt i scored 247 and in second attempt i scored 277. I wrote account very well but got only 42. So i applied for Revaluation. Result came and the institute has increased some marks but not that much to clear a single group. Now not getting interest in Studies thinking that i know ................

Action Plan :

The problem :

Until you don't score 60+ marks in at least two subjects; passing in CA is very very difficult.

Many students aim for 50 marks in individual subjects; with the help of   50-50 approach; the chances of passing is also 50-50.

You have not written whether you have interest in Accounts or not ?

However from your past performance; I presume that :

1. You are not interested to read theory part of practical subjects.

2.  You have not thought that through theory papers you can make a good career. You read theory subjects because these are in syllabus.

3. You are lacking in determination  and dedication. ( Adop this "Mantra" to pass CA).

4. From your performance; I imagine that presently  now you are standing at the bank of the river "Brahmputra." But  missing to enjoy its  waves !  Write down all your deficiencies and discuss it here (It will also help other students  who hesitate to write).  Many times a student thinks that I am not able to crack CA - this  misconception to be cured at an early age.

5. The most important question is :

Which is the subject which you prepared  the most and still you got the lowest marks ?  Write down your marks subjectwise which you scored in both the attempts.

It was an excellent mail. Analytical, informative and tips to emulate from a learned personality.

Please allow me to add that foremost important for CA Profession that is the passion to learn and patitance for success.

In the beginning I have read a lot of mails of members about insecurity of job even after passing the exam. Then I had thought over this matter and I want to share my conclusion

In the autobiography of Mr. Mohan das Karam chand Gandhi ( Father of nation for some people ) in “ my experiments with truth” he states after passing out barrister degree in britain, he was very worried about his future, how will he earn his first rupees as his knowledge of laws was near zero, He use to fear by just thought of arguing case of a client even to stand in court. He has clearly stated insecurity of his profession due to absence of practical training.

In CA there is Article ship introduced to hone the skill of a student and transform him in to a professional.

Remember in no profession there is assurance of earning , it is individual’s Work Knowledge, Character and Experience in the field that excels him compare to other professionals in the field, so choose your mentor care fully.

Second thing I want to say is Patitance

I was reading yesterday from another site where at least ten C.A’s has told there years of struggle in final, they had cleared inter easily but took 6-7 years all of them to clear the final

They were all optimestic, has adjusted there life accordingly during their years of struggle, Now I could remember three cases out of 10

One was a women who had again started studying final after birth of her first child

Iind one use to start study without waiting for result, To appear in the exam was a regular ritual for him like festivals that comes every year, and when he passed final he was taking tea nearby his coaching center waiting to start his batch for study.

Iiird one just to check whether examinor actually reads exam or not wrote some irrevalent things in answer sheets.

All of them had passed C.A in 8-9 attempts but they all are not only setteled but well setteled in corporate world.

So be Positive frame of mind while study , Do not fight with books make them friends so what if you failed, start preparing for next even before waiting for results.

This course is different , unique, special which need all around devotion.

With regard to math it is true for analytical part of audit one need to have grip on math

Math is nothing but practice, practice and practice.

And math is base for many other subjects any where if you want to proove some thing you have to go for math

You have to proove yourself to be fit for a profession, I mean to meet the requirments of that profession ask yourself what are you doing for that apart from study.

Regards

@ Satya Kaam,

Your views are absolutely correct and well analyzed at your end. You have presented real case studies which I think  will inspire all the students.

Thanks for your nice and valuable comments.

Most of the students want bright career without taking pains although everyone knows without pains, no gains.

Many times students can't not imagine the requirement of  CA profession despite studying a lot and hearing a lot of advices from their peers.

The only reason is lapse of analytical skills on their part.

Hope students will take full care to develop their own analytical skills.

I also expect that students read Audit Reports very carefully which state like -

In our opinion and to the best of our knowledge and belief ..............

So the following is expected from an Auditor -

1. Collection of requisite information from the client,

2. Application of knowledge on the information submitted by the client

and

3. Formation of own opinion on the information provided by the client.

A  CA student requires to have very good knowledge about  direct and indirect taxes, company law, labour laws,  economic laws, application of financial ratios etc. in addition to Accounting Standards and Auditing Standards.

Till one is master in all; don't expect that he would be able to sign the audit report after getting a qualification.

Since most of the students target for passing rather than to achieve knowledge hence this is the reason that most of the students wish to go for job.

It is my humble request to the students that just invest 3-5 years for CA course very cautiously and be alert all the time. Go for excellence only and enjoy for whole of the life.

Always keep in your mind that you have born for a great cause hence prove that you are the most eligible person to serve the society.

Regarding Mahatma Gandhi; much have been read and told about him but nobody analyzed what qualities he was possessing.  If someone is there to know his qualities; nobody tried to really apply them to that extent which he applied.

@ Satya Kaam,

I am extremely happy with you.  You have developed your own analytical skills which is wonderful.

You are on a great path and I can see your future. India needs great leaders and you possess all those qualities to be a leader.

Make more research in the areas where you have interest.

My best wishes for your bright career.

@ Sandeep,

Surely there are some hidden mistakes which a student can't understand till he get his answersheet checked with one qualified person/lecturer.

Please answer :

1. How many compilations and previous years' paper of accoutancy  have you solved before appearing for in the examinations ?

2. How many mock tests have you given while preparing for accounts ?

3. How many times you have tried to compare your answers with your friends.

4. Can you explain here how Accounting Concepts are really applied while preparing and finalizing the books ?

If you can't understand question no. 4; I will elaborate it later on.
