i need ur help in the following case
A person is given a contract of hostel mess. He receives 1.1 crore for performing this contract in the previous year 11-12. Thus i wanted to knw will it attacts service tax as he person is providing food to the students of hostel n the college is paying him the sum.

Services provided to or by an educational institute in respect of education exempted from service tax under mega exemption notification no. 25/2012-ST catering for the students under any mid-day meals scheme sponsored by the government.

Pls check the notification mentioned by Arun kumar singh. If it not falls under the above, then it is taxable under outdoor catering. But abatement is available to the extent of 40% it seems. Pls check.
