the prescribed IT return for person having professional income is ITR4. but the form is too lengthy (30 pages) and contains lot of irrelevant details. I get my professional income for which TDS is deducted under sec 194 J. is there any alternate or simpler form for filing return ? SS

No Other option Sir, you need to file it using ITR 4 form.
You can first prepare your profit and loss in MS Excel, then enter the relevant data in ITR form 4.
