Hi,
Can we adjust the Penalty against the excess amount of service tax paid? or Are we required to pay it separetly? Actually i had paid the excess service tax and penalty for late filing of Rs. 2000/- can be adjusted or not for the same period.
Please Suggest.
In my opinion, penalties can't be adjusted against the credit of service tax.
