Medical bill submitted against the Medical allowance of Rs. 15000/- can be exempted for the ayurvedic treatment under Doctors prescripttion?

dear friend medical allowance is taxable......if medical treatment is there then only it will fall under section 17(2).perks..

agree...in case there is perks by employer fr medical treatment in a private hospital then 15000 exemption is there but medical allowance is totally taxable...

If Medical Bills are submitted against the medical allowance then it will partake medical reimbursement and you can get it for Ayurvedic Treatment under the doctor's prescripttion.

i agree with paras sir,, medical all. is exempted up to Rs,15,000/- for the year. i.e 1250/- p.m. based on the medical biils submited by the employee to the employer
