dear sonali,
failure is a part of all competitive exams. be c.a or c.s. the thing is, have faith in urself, dont lose confidence!!! even those who crack cpt in their attempts , maximum of them, has to face failure again and again!!!
if u have got 90. u can easily get 100!! the negative part of ur preparation is u have left maths. try to keep 100pct preparation and in ur exam attempt those questions which u r 100pct sure(u may leave 1 or 2 topics) but not a SUBJECT!!! ur marks have gone away in negatives. 0.25 is a slow poison, which can kill ur pass marks. so dont gamble in exam and try to cover maths as well. u will surely clear!!!
as far as 120 is concerned ----there is no such thing!! though the 30pct criterion will be made operational as soon as the central govt. gives a go-ahead to it.

Hey buddy,
i too got failed for the second time, got 93.. dont lose hope and as manali said "failure is a part of all competitive exams".
For me, after 2 attempts (1year) theres no backing out.. i know i will make through it and be a CA one day.
And regarding passing 120 marks, thats just a rumour.. also try practicing more easy chapters of QA, Its def not tough.. still plenty time is there..
But if u ask me, i would seriously suggest u to make third attempt..probably u should try giving cpt online exam which i am preparing for it now(feb or march).. and regarding CS, u can always give CS exams simultaneously with CA course.
rest, the decision is all yours..
All the best.

Dear Sonali,,,,
CA and CS are approximately of same standard... and why are you thinking that you can't clear the CPT examination.... whatever if you are not good in maths,,, you know i'm also zero in maths though, i scored 131 in CPT June 2009,, and you know i only attemted 140 (apporx) marks questions,,,,,,,,,,, so just chill and just concentrate on your strength rather than on your weakness.........you just have to minimise your weak points and strengthen your plus points........ All the best......... :)
