ITR verification failed......

Dear colleagues
gud noon,
If a return is not yet verified despite posting(By speed post), And it's been over 30 days now, If any tax demand or outstanding demand comes from the department in future,So can we submit response based on that speed posted return, and can deny that outstanding demand??
