For closing stock if you have invoices evidencing payment of excise duty then you would get credit of excise duty on fulfilling of certain conditions. For more information and queries you can mail me at neharampuria @ gmail.com

Means 12.5 % input credit of cgst will be populated on gst portal automatically n what abt sgst credit or ultimately how much tax will be paid on closing stock..... What %

12.5% of excise duty as credit would be available which would become CGST on fulfilling of certain conditions. If you file VAT return , then itc brought forward in such return would be given as SGST
