I haven't filed my tax return for last 3 years.
My queries are:
a) Am i eligible for tax refund even though i am filing my tax late.
b) I didn't show my investment in my company for last year although i have investment in 80C. Can i mention the same in ITR1. Do i need to attach any proof while i submit my courier to bangalore.
c) Will the bangalore Income tax office accept tax return for 2005-06,2006-07, 2008-09.
time limit for filing of income tax returns is one year from the end of the assessment year. which means that now at present u can file only 2 returns which are of A.Y. 2008-09 & 2009-10 only as the time lint for filing of income tax return for the A.Y. 2007-08 is already gone.
U can claim the deduction u/s 80C even though u have not shown this to your company.
U need not file any documents along with your return of income(irrespective of the mode of filing of return u may choose i.e. online or paper return)

So what about the return for 2007-08 year. Will it not be illegal if i haven't filed it?. Do I need to talk to CA for getting the return filed? Is there any workaround?
at present u can file return only for the A.Y. 2008-09 &, 2009-10 coz time limit for 2007-08 has already gone. U can claim deduction u/s 80 c though not shown any document to the company.
