an assessee has the following pan A**HA****k but the word huf is missing after the name of assessee.
The pan verification on traces website shows only the name of assessee.
The pan was issued long time back.
Should this be corrected or is it ok as the H being the fourth letter clearly shows that it is a huf
But the name must also be ended with the word "huf" in the pan.
I dont have the pan card for the same but when Iam checking online only the name is displaying
the Huf suffix is missing.
Should this be rectified?
yes it must be rectified but also the same mistake must be there on pan card so check it and then apply for rectification
Yes you should be rectified through form 49b
