ISCA is a very easy subject if u understand the concepts and then study . Unfortunatly many students try to byheart the subject as such and then tell it is a dry / boring subject . Unless u understand the concepts it will be tough for u to learn the subject , u may feel it is a dry subject ( which is not so )
First of all you need to develope interest in the subject . For that My best advice is attend classes on isca to gain better understanding of the subject rather than simply byhearting it without knowing what it really means
Use only ICAI study material to study . For reference you may use
1. Mr .Chandrasekhar s book by snow white publications or
2. Mr .Dinesh madan s book , whichever you feel comfortable.
Many students find it difficult to study from the ca institute study material but only that can give you results . you are expected to reproduce the text from the study material in your answer sheets . ( my suggestion is for 2 and 3 chapters alone use some reference books since those chapters are so vast in our study material . for all other chapters study material is the best )
Use of the isca language and key words in your answer sheet is important . If u try to answer on your own or write in general , u won't get marks . ( I have seen students get even 10 marks in isca by writing everything in general.). So write what is there in the study material ( the language, key words etc ) , then adding few general points may help.
Mainly byheart the headings and sub-headings of an answer and try to write it as such to get good marks.
And also revise as many times as possible to get the subject registered in your mind.( it usually does nt get easily registered like other subjects , u may forget it soon , so keep revising ) I am from chennai .
I attended mr.chandrasekhar s crash course on isca. He was just amazing . I joined the classes since my seniors told me that this subject was tough , but by the end of the classes , I felt I had developed a great interest in the subject . Thanks to sir and his book also helped me a lot ( as I said I used his book to study the 2 ,3 and 10 chapters and few other references )
Hope these few points will help u .
ALL THE BEST .
