Dearest members and students of CCI, i am portraying the discussion of today with the impact and importance and draw back of coaching classes
ICAI mission about CA course and exam pattern.
There was a recent articles published in ICAI where president message give the light of mission statement of ICAI. “Keep your concepts clear and take the training seriously”.
This indicate that the exam question will be purely based on the conceptual angle, the exam pattern will surely test your conceptual understanding since whatever you are learned today need to be applied tomorrow.
Like wise, if you taking your articled training seriously, you can somehow manage the practical questions (Accounts, SFM) very well, because the questions of these segment. You cannot render the things from coaching unless you are self equipped towards conceptual clarity.
Before undergoing in to coaching classes, take ICAI mission in to mind. Never depends yourself fully on coaching. This is evidenced by the result pattern. There are so many good coaching institutes, why the result trend still not improved?? it is clearly evidenced by the mission statement. ICAI never allow the students to limit the knowledge in the coaching materials. So be careful.
Why students undergo a coaching
Lack of confidence
Students perceive the CA course prejudicially as a toughest and cannot clear the same without coaching.
This view however needs to be changed. Take that subject which you feel very difficult and handicapped. Take coaching as an aid to you, improve your deficiency. There is a classification required for that subject which can manage on your own and the subject which require some assistance. Then coaching may be useful.
Coaching can be compared with stretches for leg handicapped. This stretches required to be thrown away once you are able to stand in your own leg. This means never try to walk with the help of stretches after you can able to walk on your own leg. But students are used to with stretches.
There is a risk of confined to and limited to the coaching materials. Dilute your creative thinking; if a different pattern comes in exam, then you will be out. My advise to you is never over depends with coaching classes.
Listen carefully the following story
Frog lived all his life in a well. It was where he was born. It was where he grew up. One day another frog came from the sea and fell into that well. The frog of the well asked the newcomer, "Where are you from?"The frog of the sea replied, "From the sea." The frog of the well went on, "The sea! What is that? The frog of the sea said, "It is water like in this well, but water spans as far as eyes can see. It is huge!" The frog of the well started leaping from one side of the well to the other. Then he asked, "Is it as big as this?" "Much, much bigger." said the frog of the sea, "It is the sea. It cannot be compared with your well." The frog of the well said, "Nothing is bigger than my well. This fellow is a liar. He is causing trouble. He must be cast out."
The World of ICAI is quite bigger than the world in the well. So, see the world out side the well by working on your own.
Taking the mission statement of ICAI, they will not cultivate a culture of clearing exam through class. If any one has such thinking, it is the time to rethink. This re think can only help you out.
Ignorance
Now days so many coaching institutions were established not with the intention to build a good chartered accountancy students rather their business purpose.
Good advertisement, ignorance by the students in the teenage and wrong notion that coaching will lead you to clear the exam, how can they take a good decision as to the coaching things.
It is a just a moths fatal attraction to fire. Finally, time lost, money lost. The magnitude of ignorance is the resource for coaching institutes. If you are aware, then who will go and attend coaching classes. Never be ignorant, open your mind, eye, brain, all the sense.
I suggest use this resource only you really require this. Else manage on your own.
Peer pressure
This situation is a combination of above two factors. First is lack of self confidence and some degree of pressure. You may be think that course is so tough to crack and Ignorant about the syllabus. How many students are attending the class after having a good awareness about the syllabus, it may be counted.
Some pressure pushes the students to take the class. Second a false sense in your mind that you can clear the toughest course with the help of classes. If you referee ICAI material, you may affirm your notion further.
I suggest some of the subject; you can manage your studies with the help of good reference book since they will present the concepts in a simple and easiest way.
It is your duty to build a conceptual clarity. Even after your constant effort you cannot, and then there is no wrong for pursuing the coaching classes.
Coaching institute cannot do any thing since they can only sit in the chair of pavilion and watch your play.
Exam questions were real time; practical oriented and will test the conceptual understanding. All these things cannot be satisfied by coaching rather by self equipped with you.
You have to sit and study and work hard to build conceptual clarity. Nothing can be simply achieved. There is no short cut to success of coaching classes.
Even after attending the classes also you have to work more to get a full comprehensive picture.
See the fee structure of many coaching classes, a middle and average person cannot afford coaching from a good teacher. Investment in time and money do require attending the class.
You will some how understood the concepts but may fail in your exam if you confine to such resources only.
Dont worry, a best teacher than them is in your heart, when the time comes the teacher will automatically come.
For clearing the CA course, you are required to be self equipped with concepts and logic and presenting in a smart way in the exam. The president of ICAI Rightly contended that student must be innovative, articulate and smart.
