Well somebody told me that one is not allowed to take transfer during first 6 months of articleship.Like,you have to work for a minimum period of 6 months with the firm you start articleship with.However,most people are saying they have never heard of a rule like that.Is that true??

There is no such rule..u can take transfer in the first year of articleship regardless of reasons whereas from the second year onwards there are a whole lot of conditions...acc to whch one u satisfy then only u gt the transfer...and u need to take consent in all situations mentioned above...!!!
There is no such rule.
NO........for taking transfer in the first year of articleship ,does not require any letter..the above announcement was for 2nd year transfer.if u have more query regarding this u can ask to " e sahayata" on icai web site.

Thanks,even I've never heard of anything like that but just wanted to confirm.So if I have completed 2 months of articleship in this firm and this is my first year,no problems relating to transfer,right?Cool. :)

yes there wold be no problem
no there is no such rule.......you can take transfer in 1st year without any restrictions....be it any reason
NO there is no such rule , you can easily take transfer in first year of articleship without any restriction nd without reason & in many no. of times...
