you cannot afford to miss standard costing in AMA..u should surely expect a queation from here..it is not wise to skip nay topic for CA final exams..it reduces ur chances of getting thru..

and for customs,it is very important to do the sums based on this chapter..

as per my view, you should just go through with marginal costing , all types single sum and in standard costing go with formulas and also the main concept, that will make safe play in exam... 

and in IDT ya, its enough. and in custom if possible go through the valuation sums only, as there are chances of combind excise and custom sums covering valuation..
