Dear First move to As and then to other chapters or vive a versa and do the consolidation at last.
as consolidation wightage is only of 16 numbers, and also you have one optional
so focus on rest and do consolidation at last.

Hi Renuka,
First of all, Wish you a very Happy and a Prosperous New Year!!
As per my experience, dont go for Consolidation chapter first, because of two logic: 1) it is time consuming and 2) Every consolidation question is different and difficult to get mastery over, there is a possibility that you may lose confidence, which is not good at all.
First try to solve and get mastery over small chapters but very easy ones like Value Added Statement, Valuation (Shares, brand etc) , Amalgamation (small logical questions). Solve each and every questions of these chapters from Practice Manual and I am sure you will gain confidence and rest becomes easy to achieve. Consolidation wont help you much in gaining marks in exams, but it is important to study!!
All the best, I am sure you will Rock!!

There is no denying that each and every chapter is important. But, truth is once you are very sure that a question from this chapter is guarantee of appearing in the examination, you need to tweak your strategy a tocuh. Instead of dedicating full time only on this chapter, I would suggest you to dedicate an hour or two every two or three days in a week for this chapter. Whether it is tough or easy you got to present the same in the examination.
Bear in mind, FR is trend setting paper, do not regret saying, wish I had couple more days would have covered topics from Consolidation. I agree with the observations from the above respected learned members too. But, please do not involve in selective studying at CA level examination.
Whether the topic is tough or easy, still you need to cover it right? Hence, take a wise call whether you want to curse yourself sitting in the examination hall saying I made a mistake by postponing one of the most important topics to the last, rather understand and be focussed with your strategy to cover tough portions at the beginning when you know, there are other many more chapter and papers for which you need to toil and devote time. Else it could start diminishing and deter your inner confidence level.
Thus adopt a balanced study plan with mix of easy and tough topics.
Best of luck.
