Error in e-filing of ITR-2 for A.Y.2009-10

You may try to download fresh ITR2 file for asst yr 09-10 and fill it up afresh. Then try to generate xml file and upload it.

Please check up the following things and then try again:

1) There are no special character in the data of that Xml file.

2) There is no space or Special character in the name of that Xml file, the name should be of only one word.

If Still error persist down load the PDF utility of ITR-II and create the XML file. This may work.

I think you are using the earlier version of Tax Preparartion Software.

Download the latest version from the IT Websites:

www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in

And make sure that the file to be uploaded doesn't had any special charachters. I had even encountered the same problem.....

IF YES, THEN IF UR USING INTERNET EXPLORE 8 & ABOVE THEN U MUST ADD THE INCOME TAX SITE TO SECURED SITES

hey i also faced d same error n got d above suggessions but d problem i with d site try after some time same XML fill will get uploaded

can u file a return for assmnt year 2009-10 after 31st march 2011..????i think ur case is time barred..

you may download excel utility of itr2 from incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in and create a xml file

den upload it.
