A person is director in 11 companies and 2 DINs have been allotted to him inadvertently. out of the 11 directorships he holds 5 with the DIN allotted to him at first and the rest with the DIN allotted to him later.
Now he wants to surrender one of his DINs,but to keep all his 11 directorships. Advise.
You can file DIN surrender form DIR-5 for retaining the earlier DIN and to surrender the DIN which is obtained later.
On approval of the form the companies associated with the second DIN will automatically tie up with the 1st DIN. For more clarification read news and updates in MCA page.
1. As per the extant rules, in respect of an individual who is in possession
of Duplicate/Multiple DINs, he can retain the Oldest DIN only. DINs
obtained later have to be surrendered.
Please note that on approval of form DIR-5, all existing/erstwhile associations of the surrendered DIN shall be automatically
mapped to the retained DIN.
2. In respect of an individual with a single DIN, if it is/was once associated with any LLP or Company, it is NOT eligible for surrender. Stakeholders
may kindly take note and plan accordingly.
