Can we avail excise input credit on trading business
we are manufacturer, we are going to start trading purchases so can we able to take the input of excise against manufacturing unit. kindly advise.

If you are undertaking trading activity, then you cannot avail Cenvat Credit. However, if the buyers request for Cenvat Credit invoice, then you can transfer Cenvat Credit paid at the time of purchase.
